Inclusive Design uses Design thinking methodology to create flexible experiences to suit users with varied needs. The inclusive design workshop teaches University of Sydney staff the principals of inclusive design and practical methods which they can incorporate into their work.

The Inclusive design workshop is run over half a day to University of Sydney staff. The workshop begins with a presentation covering core concepts of inclusive design, including; "Nobody is average", "Everyone has disability", "Designing to the edges" and "Embeddng Inclusive Design".

Next, particpants are each given a user persona, based on University of Sydney students with varied needs. The participants work through activities encouraging them to consider the different user journeys and experience of their persona.
The participants are then seperated into new groups where they work through the Design Thinking process to optimise a product or service offered by the University. Each team member is encouraged to advocate for their assigned persona as they work through the design process.
